A Decent Home is a documentary film by director Sara Terry. The film addresses urgent issues of class and economic immobility through the lives of mobile home park residents, who may own their homes but must pay rent for the land they live on. The film follows residents of mobile home parks across the country as private equity firms and wealthy investors buy up parks in order to squeeze profit out of mobile home owners.
Filmmaker Sara Terry gained intimate access to the residents of mobile home parks across the country in order to tell their stories. The Jonathan Logan Family Foundation provided support for the production and editing of A Decent Home, and for the film’s impact campaign, which the filmmaker has designed in partnership with affordable housing activists. We believe this is an important and impactful film and hope it will continue to reach new audiences. A Decent Home will be available to stream on iTunes starting October 25, 2022.
